Happy New Year!

As we come to the end of 2020, I can't say how much I'm looking forward to this New Year.  Hopefully 2021 will bring us a year that sees not only a reduction of COVID-19, but also a reduction in the anxiety that's been so prevalent during this past year.  I believe that someday in the future we will once again enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship of in-person Rotary meeting and not just meeting on Zoom.  I'm looking forward to getting together to participate on Community Projects and once again being visible in our communities.

That said, we need to have patience and continue to persevere in this current era of COVID-19; we can't just wish the future to be here today.  We need to continue to make a difference in our communities, even if it's only by having a virtual presence.  Remember, the money that we continue to raise and donate to the lifeline support programs that we are committed to support is not virtual and it does make a big difference!

I hope that you continue to help us help others as we work to support the life support programs like providing food for needy children, supporting the Food Bank of SLO, donating to help victims of the California wildfires, supporting Salvation Army, providing hand sanitizer to help our businesses stay open in our community and transporting fish to help feed folks in need.  Remember, we do make a difference.

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Morro Bay I hope that you have a safe and happy New Year.  Please continue to practice social distancing and aseptic practices until this pandemic is controlled; continue to stay strong and stay safe.
