Join us at Coleman Beach as we participate / volunteer for Project Surf Camp... this is a surf camp for special needs children where, with the help of the volunteer counselors, get on their wetsuit, grab a board and get out in the ocean... its always an amazing day!!!! best part - as a volunteer, you don't need to know how to surf, you don't need to own a wetsuit... PSC provides everything!!! even lunch at the end of the day... Saturday, July 16th - meet at Coleman Beach at 8am, get an overview of the day, then begin helping campers... Hope to see you there!!! |

James Worthley, Regional Planning Division Chief for the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments will discuss the Transportation Expenditure Plan - a 9-year, half-cent sales tax measure for consideration by voters on the November 2016 ballot. Key elements of the Transportation Expenditure plan include: 1. 50% of revenue would be used for LOCAL projects selected by LOCAL agencies. 2. Provides $33.8 Million for better bike and pedestrian facilities connecting our communities. 3. Provides funds for need-based point-to-point services for seniors, veterans and disabled residents – tripling current capacity. 4. Gives the us the ability to LEVERAGE state and federal funds to local projects. 5. 25% of funds go to regional projects that INCREASE LOCAL JOBS and support economic development. |
