Two different levels of education programs are offered to the members of the Rotary Club of Morro Bay:

  1. Club Programs - These programs are intended to educate and inform new members about the Rotary Club of Morro Bay, its organization, history and functions.
  2. District Programs - These programs are directed towards the ongoing development of Rotary members throughout the District with a emphasis on the necessary skills for leadership within Rotary.

Club Level Education Program - New Members

The Rotary Club of Morro Bay sponsors ongoing education for current and new members.  A program of greeting a new member is conducted by members of the Board at an orientation breakfast.   Current members are always welcomed if they choose to review and renew their background in Rotary.

All sessions are scheduled and coordinated by Club Secretary Galen Brunner.  Please contact him by email at galen_brunner@yahoo.com or speak with him directly at any club meeting if you would like to attend the next new member orientation program

Potential Rotary Leadership Seminars (PRLS)

District 5240's Potential Rotary Leadership Seminars(PRLS) program on the PRLS web site.  A description of the Basic and Master PRLS seminars can be found HERE and the calendar of upcoming seminars can be found HERE.  Please note that both of these classes are subsidized by the Rotary Club of Morro Bay.  Contact Scott Beer (email: scottbeer@charter.net ) if you would like more information.

In addition to the educational sessions provided by the Rotary Club of Morro Bay and District 5240, there are education programs available through Rotary International's Membership Resources, as well as Rotary International's Training Information (both on the RI web site).

It is worthy to note that the Rotary Club of Morro Bay will pay the tuition of members to any of the PRLS courses.

Please visit these web resources for each to review the information at each site as well watch our own web site to determine specific times, dates and topics being offered at the club level.
